⚠️ Think Twice Before Hiring This Company
I paid Florida Clean Air Plus $5,850 for a new AC system for my approximately 750 sq. ft. apartment. Since the installation, I have experienced short cycling, uneven cooling, and poor humidity control.
I contacted the company about the problem and asked for the system to be replaced. Instead, their technicians tried to address the problem by lowering the blower motor speed. It didn’t solve the short cycling or humidity problem.
I later had several other HVAC professionals evaluate the system, and they raised concerns that the system may be oversized for my apartment.
Florida Clean Air Plus maintains that the equipment is an AHRI-certified 1.5-ton system. I am not disputing that classification. My concern is whether a 1.5-ton system was properly selected for my approximately 750 sq. ft. residence. The company has also confirmed that no new load calculation was performed before the replacement system was selected.
After all of this, the company is still asking me to pay again to replace the system.
My advice: Do your research, get an independent second opinion, and make sure the equipment is properly sized for your property before spending thousands of dollars.
Based on my experience, I would not use this company again.
