DoneRite Pumps Inc.

AC Repair in Opa-locka

4.1 stars, 15 reviews via Google

DoneRite Pumps is an Opa-locka shop combining electric motor repair, pump supply, and air conditioning contracting, serving Miami Gardens, Hialeah, and North Miami on weekdays.

About DoneRite Pumps Inc.

DoneRite Pumps Inc. wears more than one hat, and its own name reflects it: Google's categories for the business start with electric motor repair shop and pump supplier, and only from there extend into air conditioning contractor, air conditioning repair service, and HVAC contractor. That mix points to a mechanical trade shop built around motors and pumps, the kind of equipment that also happens to sit inside many residential and commercial air conditioning systems, rather than a business that exclusively answers home AC service calls.

For a Miami-Dade homeowner, that combination can be useful in a specific way: a failing AC system sometimes traces back to a motor or pump component rather than the compressor or refrigerant charge, and a shop equipped to handle both electric motor repair and air conditioning work may be positioned to diagnose that kind of issue rather than swap parts without knowing the root cause. The business is based in Opa-locka, at an address on NW 133rd St, and keeps weekday hours, open from 8 in the morning to 4:30 in the afternoon, Monday through Friday, with both Saturday and Sunday closed.

Its listed service area reaches into Miami Gardens, Hialeah, and North Miami, communities in the northern part of Miami-Dade County near its Opa-locka base. Given the closed weekend schedule, this reads as a shop set up for scheduled repair and supply work during the business week rather than emergency weekend dispatch. Homeowners or contractors with a motor, pump, or AC-related question can call (305) 953-3380 during those weekday hours to ask specifically which of its services applies to a given problem.

Such an amazing experience with Donerite. They are SO responsive, efficient, honest, and overall incredible. Cannot recommend this company enough! Our AC went out and Robert and his team helped immediately. They made the experience of replacing our compressor seamless and stress free. Highly recommend!

Most critical

horrible service, very dishonest and unreliable. They didn't show up until after waiting 4.5 hours on thursday, and then said they would be back the next day (friday) at 2pm to replace the AC motor. They never even showed up the next day! doesn't seem like a reputable business to treat customers like that. I understand service time windows, but to not even show up the next day to replace the AC motor after setting a 2pm time to be there without even a phone call. I would advise customers to go to a different company and hopefully you can find someone else who is more helpful and dependable. I understand things taking a long time, but to not show up? If you want to be treated like this then go ahead with this company, but i doubt it, and therefore i'd recommend you look elsewhere.

I am writing this review to warn others about my dreadful experience with DoneRite. In all honesty, if I could give them zero stars, I would.

I initially contacted DoneRite because my AC unit was not cooling the apartment, and they were recommended by the building's management. I was unaware that I was on the brink of being deceived and subjected to excessive charges for what they claimed to be services.

The technician, David, arrived promptly, only to diagnose a simple unclogging and freon recharge issue. Despite my concerns about a potential leak, he reassured me that everything was fine. Naively, I signed the completion document without being given a quote or informed of the exorbitant charges I was about to incur.

It took them a whopping 20 days to provide a breakdown of the charges, revealing an unjustifiable overcharge for labor. When I questioned this, they callously explained that it was a rush call, conveniently omitting this crucial detail when scheduling the appointment.

To add insult to injury, a mere 30 days after their "fix," my AC unit was not cooling the apartment again. Frustrated, I contacted Donerite's CEO, who promised to send someone to assess the issue. Lo and behold, the new technician immediately identified a leak and told me that the unit is low on freon again, contradicting David's earlier assurance that all was well. However, when I requested a repair under the supposed warranty, they claimed the leak was not covered, demanding additional fees for inspection and repairs. Astonishingly, they suggested replacing the entire AC unit without any reasonable explanation.

In my attempts to reason with them, I was met with stubborn refusal and denial of ever inspecting the unit for a leak in the first place. I engaged DoneRite with the expectation of repairing my AC, anticipating a genuine service without encountering undue financial burdens or pressures.

In summary, my experience with Donerite has been disappointing, and I would advise potential customers to carefully consider their options.I earnestly hope that my review serves as a cautionary tale for others contemplating their services. Subsequently, I sought the help of another company, which efficiently and reasonably fixed the leak.

Is DoneRite Pumps Inc. primarily an air conditioning company?

Not exclusively. Homeowners should ask directly which of those services applies to their specific issue before booking.

What are DoneRite Pumps Inc.'s hours?

The shop is open Monday through Friday, from 8 in the morning to 4:30 in the afternoon, and is closed on both Saturday and Sunday. That weekday-only schedule fits a repair and supply business handling scheduled work rather than weekend emergencies.

What areas does DoneRite Pumps Inc. serve?
