Horrible experience with this company. They are unprofessional, unreliable and will rip you off. Please check BBB before hiring them as they have HUNDREDS of complaints for unfulfilled work, breach of contract, etc. we called them on a Monday afternoon due to AC not working, gave us a window of 2-6pm and tech arrived almost after 7pm. Looked at the unit and told us we have a refrigerant leak but he couldn’t do anything that night because it was late and someone would come out the following morning. The following day, tech # 2 showed up, confirmed we have a leak and told us we needed a very expensive UV test to find the leak and told us someone would come back in 24-48 hours and best would be to check in the evening as a black light is used to complete the test. No one followed up and I called to schedule an appointment 24hrs later and specifically asked for an evening appt which they gave me. However tech was a no show and no follow up again from ARS. On Thursday tech # 3 showed up and looked at the unit and told us it was the compressor which is dead and had to be changed. And also he needed to check for a leak but as a courtesy he wouldn’t charge for leak test. The compressor issue was never mentioned before by the TWO techs who had supposedly inspected everything. They then quoted us almost 6K to change the compressor (this is without any parts) which would have almost totaled to 10K for all this work at which point we could have just gotten a new unit. We told them we would not pay that as we had already paid almost 4K for a leak test which they never completed. They refused to do any further work and no one ever came back to check with a black light for leaks after we paid almost 4K for this test. Also all the techs had the same spiel-they would quote a super inflated price for work and then say “oh but let me call my manager and see if we can get a discount.” It’s obvious they charge insanely inflated price and just want to rip the customer off. Also every time a new tech showed up, I had to explain everything from the beginning, they don’t keep any notes or bother to consult them if they do bc again ARS just wants to overcharge you for more extra work.

I had a water leaking in my AC.
I called ARS, i was informed fhe visit and evaluation would cost 129 usd.
The technician came, and he charged 240 usd because he says he did a deep evaluation to find the problem.
Problem detected: capacitor not working.
To change capacitor he wanted charge almost 500 usd.
I went to Home depot, capacitor cost 24usd and a guy from Home depot came after job and install it for 50 bucks. So easy installation.. Don' t requires any expertise that cost 500 usd.
