Of course, my ac breaks in the middle of the hottest season on record in Miami, FL. After three estimates ranging from 3k to 5k, and not ever asking, if I had warranty on the 7 yr old unit and not performing a leak detection test to pinpoint the issue-(I was overwhelmed not to mention starting a new job outside working in the elements- you just wanna chill at the end of a long day but even that couldn't take place because it felt like 90s in the house and the temps would ever seem to drop overnight).
I even bought two portable standing ac units but with so much humidity and moisture it only got to mid 80s at best. Ideally, I needed to find another option, a bit weary of the experience thus far I decided to search locally and that's when Affordable Air & Heat popped up in my google search, I called and happen to speak to the owner John, I explained everything that had taken place and how 1k in and still had NO working AC!
We agreed on next steps, he sent Lazaro one of the best techs in the company with about 30+ years of experience. He detected a leak on the outside discharge line out in the exterior compressor, nothing to do with the copper lines underneath the house, rerouting new copper lines through the attic into the handler and nonsense the other three took to convince me to do… Lazaro, returned to repair and by the end of the day it was already in the 70s inside the house, and more like it!
So take it from me, call on Affordable Air & Heat for your maintenance or repairs they will be honest, save you hundreds to thousands and you can rely on great service and fair pricing for at the end a good working ac is a necessity here in So Fla and you shouldn't have to suffer unnecessarily…
