A & P Air Conditioning

HVAC Contractor in Hialeah

4.1 stars, 55 reviews via Google

A and P Air Conditioning is an air conditioning contractor in Hialeah, Florida, serving nearby Miami Lakes, Miami Springs, and Miami Gardens during standard weekday business hours.

About A & P Air Conditioning

West 78th Street in Hialeah is home to A & P Air Conditioning, a business positioned in the northern part of Miami-Dade County within reach of Miami Lakes, Miami Springs, and Miami Gardens rather than the more southern cities that many Miami-based listings cite. Its Google classification is air conditioning contractor, a single category with nothing else attached, which points toward a focused cooling-contractor operation rather than one branching into plumbing, general contracting, or duct work.

The company keeps weekday hours, 8 in the morning to 4 in the afternoon, Monday through Friday, and is listed as closed both Saturday and Sunday, a schedule that fits a smaller local contractor working scheduled calls rather than one built around continuous emergency coverage. Hialeah and its neighboring cities sit inland from the coast but still carry Miami-Dade's typical cooling demands, long stretches of heat and humidity that keep air conditioning systems under near-constant load for most of the year, with hurricane season adding the risk of storm-related outages and debris that can affect outdoor units.

A contractor with a single, focused classification and a standard weekday schedule is a fit for homeowners planning ahead for a repair, a tune-up, or a system evaluation during business hours, though anyone facing a breakdown outside that window should plan to wait until the next business day or look elsewhere for after-hours coverage. Homeowners in Hialeah, Miami Lakes, Miami Springs, or Miami Gardens interested in reaching A & P Air Conditioning can call (305) 556-7849 or visit the company's website to ask about current scheduling and service availability.

I’ve had a great experience working with AP Air Conditioning Supply for over 9 Years . Their inventory is well-stocked, prices are competitive, and the customer service is excellent. They’re always helpful, knowledgeable, and quick to assist with any questions or special requests. Highly recommended for any HVAC tech or business looking for reliable AC equipment and parts!

Used them a few times and they were great. Unfortunately this time around waited on them 4 hrs for them to tell me technician couldn't find parking so he'd come tomorrow (I offered to pay valet or whatever else was needed). Obviously that wasn't going to work nor acceptable.

After being a loyal customer for years, this was my last experience with them.
They charged me $345 for a simple A/C gas recharge that had cost $210 back in November 2024.

They claimed the technician was there for an hour and a half, which is not true. I arrived just 12 minutes after he did, as he was already in my parking spot, and when I left, my car was behind him as he was also leaving. I will review my security cameras just to confirm if he actually left at the same time as me.

I must highlight that no new diagnosis was done, nor was the gas leak ever located, they simply performed the same recharge as in all previous visits.
I received the invoice yesterday and called today to clarify. Although I wasn't satisfied with the explanation, I proceeded to pay responsibly through the online link they sent via Gmail. I also made sure to confirm the transaction number over the phone, just to leave everything in order.

Still, I feel deeply disappointed. How can they treat a long-time, responsible customer like this? In the last two services, the gas only lasted 6 to 7 months due to a leak they were never able to find, yet they continued recharging without addressing the real issue.

I'm sharing this review as a warning to other customers: always note the technician's exact arrival and departure times, and double-check your invoice carefully.

I will never call them again for maintenance.

After being a customer for years, this was my last experience with them.

They charged me $345 for a simple air recharge that had cost me $210 in November 2024.

They claim the technician was there for an hour and a half, which wasn't true. It's worth noting that it took me 12 minutes to get there when he was already in my parking space, and when I left, my car was behind it and I was pulling out. I checked my security cameras just to make sure he left when I did too.

She emphasized that they did NOT perform a new diagnosis or anything different from the previous service. In fact, they didn't detect the gas leak; they only refilled the gas, just like all the previous services. I received the bill yesterday and called today to clarify some doubts. I wasn't satisfied, but as a responsible person, I proceeded to PAY even though I disagreed. I made the payment via the online link they send through Gmail, and I made sure to get a record of the transaction number during the call to keep everything in order. However, I'm disappointed. How can they do this to a long-time customer who has always been responsible and attentive, especially when, in the two previous services, the gas only lasted 6 to 7 months due to a leak that they've never been able to locate?

My testimony is more as a reference for other customers: take note of the technician's arrival and departure times.

I will never call them for maintenance again.

When they provide services, the work is excellent. However, the lack of communication and poor customer service is a serious issue. I’ve been calling for updates regarding an AC unit repair, which they said would be resolved in a few days. It's now been 27 days, and despite multiple promises to call me back, no one ever did.

Eventually, I had to hire someone else to fix the issue. Now customer service is upset that I didn’t inform them, but I waited nearly a month during the peak of summer, trusting them because they’ve always done a good job in the past. Unfortunately, the constant need to call for updates, only to hear “just a few more days” each time, became frustrating and disappointing.

Frequently asked questions about A & P Air Conditioning

What areas does A & P Air Conditioning serve near Hialeah?

The company is based on West 78th Street in Hialeah and is positioned to reach the neighboring cities of Miami Lakes, Miami Springs, and Miami Gardens in northern Miami-Dade County, in addition to Hialeah itself.

Is A & P Air Conditioning open on weekends?

No. The listed hours run 8 in the morning to 4 in the afternoon, Monday through Friday, with both Saturday and Sunday marked closed, so weekend calls should expect a response once the office reopens the following business day.

Does A & P Air Conditioning offer services beyond air conditioning contracting?

Its Google listing carries a single category, air conditioning contractor, with no additional subtypes for plumbing, duct cleaning, or general contracting, which suggests the business concentrates specifically on cooling system contracting and repair work.

Why does hurricane season matter for AC systems in the Hialeah area?

Storm activity can knock out power or damage outdoor condenser units with wind-blown debris, and the humidity that follows a storm keeps demand for functioning air conditioning high, so scheduling a system check before or after hurricane season can help homeowners avoid a mid-storm breakdown.
