If I could leave more stars I would. Called heat and cool directly and my issue was resolved very quickly and professionally thanks to Lisa and the warehouse. Great customer service issue resolved before shipment and answered all my questions. Will update when item arrives. Cannot post another review but I can edit this one. Buyer Beware! Please Read!Once you buy the unit, you better not have any issues, because Heat and Cool will blatantly lie and be deceptive so you purchase another unit.
I purchased a Daikin Ductless Split Unit from Heat and Cool. It failed.
The HVAC company that installed the system, came and inspected the unit and gave a detailed explanation of what happened. It was an internal system failure.
I submitted their findings to Heat and Cool, through Amazon. Right away, Heat and Cool said that Daikin would not honor the warranty because of the specific failure of the system. They kept saying this even though the technician’s report stated that the failure was within the unit and not an external factor, and that it should be under warranty.
After several attempts through their rep through Amazon, with zero success, I reached out to Heat and Cool directly.
Initially, the representative seemed helpful, but then…. He emailed me back saying that Daikin had rejected the warranty claim.
The email response was worded funny and so I asked him to provide:
1. The denial response from Daikin.
2. The case #
3. The representative who denied the warranty request you submitted.The Heat and Cool representative said:
“In this case, there is no formal written response or determination issued that I can forward. Warranty evaluations of this type are handled based on established guidelines rather than a written approval or denial for full unit replacement.For reference, I have attached the warranty terms for your unit.
Additionally, I’ve included a redacted (the manufacturer agent's name is blacked out) example of a similar claim outcome involving multiple component requests being outside the scope of standard coverage, to provide context on how these situations are typically handled:
The information I’ve provided reflects the outcome of that review. At this point, we have also provided a replacement option to help resolve the situation outside of the warranty process.
We have reached the limit of what we are able to process through our channel regarding this claim.”I called Daikin directly…. Drum roll, please…
Heat and Cool NEVER submitted any warranty request!! They also blatantly lied about Daikin’s warranty requirements. Everything Heat and Cool said about the warranty issues was a lie! WOW!!
Heat and Cool lied to me in order to get me to purchase a whole new unit! Scandalous!!
In 5 minutes the Daikin representative gave me the proper information to get my parts replaced…. FREE OF CHARGE!
Please… don’t believe the lies of Heather and Cool. Purchase your system through a trustworthy company.

I bought a filter, and they didn't send a shipping date. I emailed, and they send nonsense AI email responses. Then I left a bad review through their own email review request, and they replied that they shipped it, as if this addressed the problems. It made no sense. Avoid.
