Called to have a tech come out for maintenance of my 5year old unit. The unit had recently been revving up inconsistently so I wanted diagnostics done as well. Robert came out and told me I had a leak and needed coil replacement and new blower motor, ok I thought that was totally fine. However no formal diagnostics were run, and no maintenance or cleaning was done. Then, immediately after he suggests I just get a whole new unit since my warranty had just expired the previous month. I thought that was a bit extreme but was okay with getting a quote for it in addition to the quote to replace the parts. I only received a quote for a whole new AC system, indoor and outdoor. I did not receive a quote for the repair work. I kept receiving follow up texts so I asked if they would submit a goodwill request for the parts since my warranty had just expired. Never heard from them again. Clearly they have an agenda to upsell. Really disappointing because this seemed like the most reputable company around. Also, maybe it was because Robert thought I was a naive woman, but I am an engineer and luckily my colleague is an HVAC expert so I will be utilizing my colleague’s recommendations.
